Smith already missed two games prior to a Week 8 bye, and it's not entirely clear that the extra rest will be enough to do the trick. He did manage to increase his practice participation each day this week, going from a DNP on Wednesday to a limited showing Thursday, and then capping things off with a full practice Friday. However, Smith may have been a full participant in name only, as multiple reporters made note of his absence from the portion or Friday's practice that was open to media. His availability may not be known until the Ravens release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoffs.
