SI's Peter King reported on NBC's 2013 NFL Kickoff that free agent Tim Tebow received an "inquiry" from an undisclosed team this week about playing a position other than quarterback. He turned it down. Per King, Tebow "wants to keep the NFL dream alive," but only as a quarterback. We firmly believe he exhausted all NFL quarterback opportunities when the Patriots dumped Tebow at final cuts. Somewhat interestingly, King reported USA Rugby approached Tebow about changing sports. Again, no dice. There is no question Tebow would be given another shot were he willing to try tight end or H-back. He is simply not open to it.

how about jacksonville...lol...looks like they might need something. I've never been a big fan of Tebow, but i think he does have some talent....he did take the Broncos to the playoffs, ultimately losing, but still. I think he could be a good back up somewhere and grow more. Just my opinion.

I also respect the person, but am also a Patriots fan, so was able to see "the player" up close this year, and it was bad. The only reason he lasted until last cuts was because Bill and Josh respect him so much. My brother in law was able to go to "Fantasy Camp" with the Pats this year, as well as a few practices, and he couldn't believe how bad Tebow was at throwing the ball. He said it was like putting a guy who shoots 100 on the PGA Tour. It was so obvious that the guy didn't belong. Almost feel bad for the guy, because clearly he just wont see the forest. By the time he does, no one is going to want to give him a shot to play any position. At first, you respect an employee's effort for trying to get better. Eventually, you need to wonder if something is wrong with them. There was a point in all of our lives when you stop trying to do what you want to do, and start doing what it is you need to do.

I respect Tebow as a person, but he needs to get real about his football prospects at QB. His "NFL Dream" -- and insisting that he ONLY be a QB -- is an outright delusion at this point. He seems to be in even more denial than Vince Young was a few years ago, and with even less reason.

If he refuses to play anything but QB, then the CFL is his only option. How can he not realize that by now?

What an IDIOT!!!!!!!!! You are NOT a QB Teblow. As soon as you get that through your thick skull, the sooner you MIGHT have an NFL career.

Lol, I agree.. He should play where he best helps and fits for a team. He's a terrible passer and just Fails to believe

It.

I think he would be GREAT T.E.

Maybe if he gets his head out of his own tight end.

There's too much for him to learn at this point to be a TE at the NFL level. He's too far behind at age 26.

He'd be a great fullback, though.

TE for sure with his size! or CFL for QB. NFL dream should be just to play in the nfl and help a team where he may be needed. He can play other position and be a 3rd string qb if the first 2 go down.
