Smith signed with the Giants' practice squad Friday, Michael Elson of the Giants' official site reports.

Smith started the season with the Cowboys, who cut him on Oct. 5, which led to a month long stint with the Packers that saw him released on Nov. 7. Playing a total of six games in 2021, four with the Cowboys and two with the Packers, Smith has 19 tackles (14 solo) on the season. Smith will try to earn his way to the Giants' active roster soon.
