Kessman signed with the Jets' practice squad Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Kessman went undrafted out of Pitt and had signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent. He'll try to provide competition for Matt Ammendola who has only made 68.8 percent of his field-goal attempts this season, including going one-for-three Sunday against Miami.
