The Colts signed Woods to their active roster Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Woods suffered a hamstring injury during the preseason that cost him a spot on the initial 53-man roster. However, the Colts have elected to bring back the veteran ahead of Week 3. Over the past three seasons with the Cowboys, Woods appeared in 39 games and registered 80 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.
