Shaw (hamstring) was waived off injured reserve Friday after he and the Bears came to an agreement on an injury settlement, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Shaw was never expected to make the team's final roster, as both Mike Glennon and rookie Mitchell Trubisky were essentially locks to make the cut. The 25-year-old would have had to spend the year on IR if he and the team could not reach a settlement, so he will no be free to find a new opportunity when he returns to full health.
