Senior VP of Public and Community Relations Kevin Byrne insisted on the team website that the Ravens did in fact want Ed Reed back. Earlier in the week, the Baltimore Sun reported that coach John Harbaugh wanted Reed back with the Ravens "as much as he wants a root canal." Byrne said the quote "in no way reflected John's feelings about the future Hall of Famer Reed." Regardless of the how the team feels about Reed, they were not willing to offer him the three-year, $15 million deal he got in Houston.
