Seahawks waived DL Kentwan Balmer. Balmer was an 11-game starter at left defensive end last season after Red Bryant's year-ending knee injury. A huge disappointment as the 29th overall pick in the 2008 draft, Balmer has struggled mightily as a run defender and provided nothing as a pass rusher. Two NFL franchises have now given up on him.
