Seahawks agreed to terms with DL Alan Branch on a two-year, $8 million contract with $4 million guaranteed. The Cardinals wanted to re-sign Branch, but they were never going to pay him this kind of money. He may be a better fit in Seattle's scheme anyway. The Seahawks, under Pete Carroll, have placed an emphasis on size in the front four. Branch has that in spades at 6-foot-6, 340 with the ability to play both five-technique tackle and nose. He'll push Red Bryant to start at left end.
