Saints No. 2 QB Chase Daniel (thumb) has been practicing throughout training camp. Daniel worked as the first-string QB throughout OTAs before sustaining a hairline fracture of his right (throwing) thumb in mid-June. As usual, Drew Brees' backup can expect plenty of action in preseason games over the next month.
