Roberts was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a back injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
In the offseason, Roberts signed with the Falcons to serve as the primary returner on both kickoffs and punts. His relevance as a pass catcher will more than likely depend on the health of the rest of the receiving corps, which includes a hobbled Julio Jones (toe) and Taylor Gabriel (lower leg) at the moment. More telling than an absence during this week's mandatory minicamp will be one at the outset of training camp in late July. Only time will tell, but Justin Hardy is the next man up when it comes to kick and punt returns in Atlanta.
