Mintze was in concussion protocol last week, but the rookie linebacker's return to practice puts him on track to play in the Saturday's preseason contest against the Rams. The 22-year-old was having a solid training camp before missing time. Mintze turned in an impressive performance in Denver's first preseason game, in which he recorded three tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss. The undrafted free agent will look to secure a spot on the team's roster with a strong showing in Denver's third preseason game on Aug. 28.
