The Jaguars designated Wingard (abdomen) for return Wednesday, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Wingard returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering the abdominal strain in Week 5 against the Texans. The team will now have 21 days to officially activate the Wyoming product, but as long as he's out, Brandon Watson will continue to operate as the team's depth free safety behind Jarrod Wilson.
