Releasing Matt Schaub this offseason would save the Texans $4 million in cap space. It would also take the Texans off the hook for Schaub's $10 million base salary and $1 million in scheduled per-game roster bonuses. It's a no-brainer move for Houston after Schaub's Delhommian 2013 campaign. The Texans are likely to use their first-round draft pick to select their 2014 starting quarterback.
