and Fred Davis' fantasy value sky rockets... I'm not a Redskins fan but Cooley was entertaining, I liked him, I'd be more than happy if the Bears/Panthers/Broncos (3 teams I consistently root for) signed him.

hahahaha, this makes me smile........this guy was a complete douchbag......I bet Tony Romo is getting a kick out of it too hahahah

your just jaded because he kicked cowboy butt. the guy was an outstanding player, team mate and a great asset to the community.

Another wrong opinion Joe, but you can't waiver from this 1 like u did w TO who u now are calling a HOFer after adamantly denying n debating that he wasn't. I'm glad though that u waivered to my original opinion saying he would b snubbed a year or 2 but would make it.

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 8:40 AM

what are you talking about? i never wavered on my opinion of Cooley. he is one of my all time favorites. wrong about his class or his talent or his big games against the boys??? i am afraid its you that is wrong my friend. i have watched him closely for years. he says all the right stuff, does all the right stuff, never got into any trouble and i have attended many games against dallas where 90k+ was chanting his name over and over as he made plays. how do you figure is has been anything but great?

as for TO, i still hate him but i concede that his stats are big and worth making it in. i still contend that he will not make first ballet. history shows that malcontents get snubbed for years before making it in.

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 8:53 AM

Your exact words...."I would be surprised to see him go but would not be surprised to see him take a cut." So u were wrong my friend. I actually really liked him though on and off the field...funny guy who would prob b great to hang at the bar with and a hard nosed guy w talent.

Gibbs, I just like taking a swing when u get it wrong since u like to stick ur neck out so much:)

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 9:01 AM

i did not say that he wont be cut but that i would be surprised and i was surprised. upset too. you took a swing on the wrong comment/link, that was on the other comment/link. i call it like i see it and dont be fooled into thinking i am always wrong or that you are always right. was it you that was wrong about C. Ben? LOL.

you need to join one of my leagues so i can kick your butt too!

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 9:21 AM

It was on the wrong link (twas his previous 1) but still said nonetheless. Saying u would be surprised it just like saying u don't think he would be cut...and he obviously was. I don't remember making any comment at all on C Ben.

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 11:20 AM

must have been that other guy with c.ben. i have lots of haters on here. no one can stir up controversy like old joegibbskins

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 12:45 PM

Think it gives u a stiffy JJ:) I like putting people in their place. We're good for banter:)

Another jersey down the drain

joegibbskins07 Tue 8/28/12 8:01 PM

i retire every jersey that is no longer on my team. i have a closet full of jerseys that i will not wear anymore. i have twice as many bootleg T-shirts from the games that i refuse to wear too.

gomerp13 Tue 8/28/12 8:12 PM

May b cool throwbacks one day and worth something. When is it ok/cool/appropriate to wear ex player jerseys. After they retire??

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 8:32 AM

if they retire with my team in style. i still wear my darrell green jersey.

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 8:42 AM

Id wear it even if they didn't retire w my team (Saints) but played a majority n had class throughout. Joe Horn as an example for me.

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 8:56 AM

who did horn retire with? he did not sign the one day deal with the saints?

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 9:01 AM

He may have (can't remember) but his last games were w Atl.

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 9:04 AM

Art Monk played his last game with the Jets but i still wear his too. he also signed the one day deal with the skins. i was at the HoF when he and Green went in. it was one of the greatest football events i have ever attended. being part of the longest standing ovation in HoF history is something unforgettable. also, calling Micheal Irvin a crack head and telling him that the boys suck was fun too. ROFL

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 9:15 AM

That's awesome!! Didn't Monk play w the Eagles his last year but really didn't play much? I'll bet his jersey was bought as a throwback though. I bought a Rickey Jackson throwback last year.

joegibbskins07 Wed 8/29/12 11:19 AM

i think he went to eagles for a year before the jets. i might be wrong though.

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 12:42 PM

Jets then eagles...just looked up but he barely had any catches his last season. Not sure if he got hurt/lost in depth chart/or combination.

gomerp13 Wed 8/29/12 9:05 AM

Here if is. Guess I didn't remember bc it was 2 yrs after his last real game.

On August19, 2008,the Falcons cut him. Horn worked out for the Lions, Giants, and Titans, but they ultimately passed and he did not play inthe 2008 or 2009 seasons. [1] In May 2010, Horn was selected for induction into the Saints Hall ofFame. [4] On June 23, 2010 it was announced that Horn had signed a contract with the Saints. Two days later, on June 25, it was announced that Horn would officially retire from football as a member of the Saints.
