Profootballtalk reports free agent Jeremy Maclin prefers a one-year, "prove it" deal with the Eagles, while the team wants a multi-year contract. Maclin wants to prove he's healthy with an eye towards a bigger payday in 2015, while the Eagles see an opportunity to lock up a premium talent at below market value. The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Wednesday the sides were expected to agree to a one-year deal. Even if the Eagles are holding out hope for a multi-year pact, a one-year agreement ultimately makes the most sense.
