It's a tricky situation as the Cardinals have until Sunday at 4 pm ET to activate the running back from injured reserve. Because Edmonds is currently on injured reserve, the team does not have to release practice participation information, which makes it difficult to really assess the likelihood of Edmonds returning for Monday's pivotal divisional contest. The fact coach Kliff Kingsbury even left open the possibility of a return has to be considered a positive, though it's entirely possible the Cardinals' coach could be playing a bit of gamesmanship with his star running back.
