Pope carried 10 times for 86 yards a touchdown in an impressive performance Thursday in Seattle's second preseason game.
EDGE Analysis
Pope is buried on the depth chart, but he definitely turned heads. He ran tough between the tackles and showed a good burst. Pope was named the FCS Running Back of the Year last season, leading Jacksonville State to the FCS title game. He rushed for 1,788 yards, averaging an FCS-leading 8.2 yards per carry. The Seahawks likely will keep four running backs. Alex Collins, who is expected to win that job, has not impressed thus far, opening the door for Pope.
