Borom (ankle) was placed on injured reserve by the Bears on Tuesday, Larry Mayer of the team's official website reports.

Borom suffered an ankle injury in the Bears' preseason finale against the Chiefs on Thursday and he'll now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The offensive tackle will be first eligible to return in Week 5 against the Panthers on Oct. 6.
