The Packers placed Redmond (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Redmond was sidelined at the start of training camp with a foot injury, but he was able to pass his physical in time to return to action against the Jets in Week 2 of the preseason. The 27-year-old suffered a toe injury during the contest -- later diagnosed as turf toe -- and will be forced to miss the entire 2021 campaign. Vernon Scott and Henry Black will now compete for Redmond's snaps in Green Bay's nickel defense.
