Ryan completed 13 of 23 passes for 197 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 29-15 loss to the Bills. He also rushed twice for seven yards and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan generated some pedestrian numbers at the untimeliest of junctures on the calendar from both a team and fantasy perspective. Atlanta's playoff hopes, already thin, likely evaporated altogether with the loss, while fantasy managers counting him in their championship weeks also had to be significantly underwhelmed. To make matters worse, Ryan had a rushing touchdown taken away on replay with just over six minutes remaining in the contest and set his team back 15 yards with a taunting penalty as a result of his actions after he believed he'd scored. The veteran quarterback typically has made the best of circumstances while learning a new offense and also playing a good portion of the season without top receiver Calvin Ridley (personal), but he'll look to ensure the season doesn't end on a sour note when he faces the Saints in Week 18. Ryan hasn't thrown for 300 yards since Week 9.
