Patriots WR Matt Slater is a candidate for a contract extension. 28-year-old Slater is due $1.2 million in the final year of his contract. He has just one catch in 72 career games, but made the Pro Bowl on special teams in each of the last three seasons. Slater could be extended before the start of training camp. He shouldn't require much guaranteed money.
