Patriots signed WR Jeremy Ebert and LB Jeff Tarpinian to reserve/future contracts. A seventh-round pick last spring, Ebert couldn't make it past final cuts in Pats camp. He spent the year on the practice squad. Ebert's chances of cracking the Pats' 2013 roster will improve if Wes Welker is allowed to walk. Tarpinian was briefly on the active roster in 2012.
