Packers head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that the team is not focused on re-signing James Jones, Weston Hokiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Released by both the Raiders and Giants last year, Jones temporarily revived his career after landing back in Green Bay, posting a 50-890-8 receiving line in 16 games. He shouldn't have too much trouble finding a new home, but he'll likely have to prove that he's worthy of a roster spot when not playing with Aaron Rodgers. Soon to be 32 years old, Jones is unlikely to establish fantasy value outside of Green Bay. For their part, the Packers seem happy to move forward with Jeff Janis and Jared Abbrederis competing for playing time alongside Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson (knee).
