Orton informed the Bills on Monday morning that he plans to retire, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Orton will finish his career with a total of 101 touchdowns and 18,037 yards, to go along with a 59.5 completion percentage. He turned 32 last November, and will ultimately decide to hang it up after nine NFL seasons. Orton was brought on to relieve E.J. Manuel earlier this season, and will presumably hand the reigns back over to the 24-year-old in 2015.

Big loss for Bills, since EJ plays like a 2nd year QB - He had better improve tremendously, or the Bills are in big trouble. I think it's inexperience along w/ not wanting to make those big mistakes. Step up EJ, & put your big boy pants on.
