With Alvin Kamara missing a third consecutive game due to a sprained MCL, Ingram typically would be in line to cover for him out of the backfield. But Ingram also is dealing with a knee injury, which includes swelling and a meniscus issue, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported earlier Thursday that Ingram was unlikely to play Week 12, and that has become the Saints' reality upon the release of their inactives. Considering Kamara and Ingram are sidelined, Tony Jones likely will be New Orleans' lead ball carrier, but Dwayne Washington and wide receiver Ty Montgomery should mix in at running back as well.
