Lynch (ankle) did not practice Monday after sustaining a minor injury during Saturday's preseason contest against the Broncos, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The injury does not appear to be all that serious, but Minnesota may elect to keep him sidelined for its second preseason game against the Colts on Aug. 21. Lynch appeared in nine games for the Vikings during his rookie season, registering three tackles and one sack. The 2020 fourth-round pick is firmly supplanted behind Michael Pierce, Dalvin Tomlinson and Sheldon Richardson on Minnesota's defensive tackle depth chart.
