NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Rams have inquired on free agent FS Jairus Byrd. The Rams had some of the worst safety play in the league last season and Byrd would be a major upgrade over Rodney McLeod. In addition to St. Louis, Byrd has also been linked to the Browns and hasn't ruled out a return to Buffalo. Byrd is reportedly seeking an average annual salary of at least $9 million per season.
