Byrd would be quite the upgrade on outgoing FS Chris Clemons, although safety play wasn't a weakness in Miami last year. RapSheet reports the Fins are "gearing up for another big year in free agency." Miami committed a four-year, $32 million deal to LCB Brent Grimes, and is expected to fork over $9.5 million annually to LT Branden Albert on Tuesday. Byrd will command $10 million per year.
