National Football Post's Len Pasquarelli passes along "scuttlebutt" that the Raiders may pursue Matt Schaub once the Texans release him.
Schaub's release is a mere formality, as he's owed $11 million in 2014 salary and bonuses and isn't worth half that much. He could command $3-4 million annually on a backup-caliber deal. Per Pasquarelli, Schaub "has some fans in the organization." We hope the Raiders wouldn't be counting on Schaub to start.

Is vinny testaverde on their list too? Kurt Warner perhaps? Why not Vince young?
until this last year, this guy cranks out around 24/12 with 4k yards every year he stays healthy and plays all season. everyone had him in the superbowl this last preseason. so one bad season and the world crushes him and the coach gets canned. funny world, this NFL is.
i was not commenting on your comment, just general venting on the way these guys crap on a player with one bad season. but yea, every QB is on their list. not much to chose from out there.
I agree. Schaub got thrown under the bus for a disappointing season. He started this year terrible, with all the pick 6's. But Eli Manning was terrible all year and nobody is calling for his job.
I agree killer, Shaub is no way a star on the rise; but he still has talent, and enough experience to run a better offense then at least 10 starting qbs out there now. And this article is talking like Tarrelle Pryor would do better under center than Shaub. get real
