Michael Crabtree played on 40-of-58 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Redskins. Crabtree started at flanker and led all wideouts in targets with five. While he's playing enough snaps and performing at a high enough level to be a viable WR3, Crabtree's upside is capped by the 49ers' conservative scheme. Alex Smith has led the team to a 7-1 record despite averaging just 25.7 pass attempts and 183.3 yards per game.
