McCoy (neck) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports. Coach Jay Gruden had previously labeled McCoy as doubtful for Week 16, but apparently the setback with McCoy's neck injury is severe enough to keep him from the final two games of the 2014 campaign. Robert Griffin will return to the starting role Saturday against Philadelphia, with Kirk Cousins serving as his backup.
