McCown is recovering well from his broken collarbone and is hopeful that he'll receive clearance to work out in the near future, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCown endured an avalanche of ailments in the most recent campaign, missing one game due to a concussion, two more due to a rib injury, and the final five outings with a broken collarbone. Despite the misfortune on the injury front, he completed 186 of 292 passes for 2,109 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions in just eight games. With the troubles befalling Johnny Manziel, McCown appears to be the Browns' starting quarterback, especially with a contract in hand through the 2017 season.
