Matt Schaub completed 17-of-30 passes for 290 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in Houston's 31-25 Week 3 win over the Broncos. One week after dinking and dunking to the tune of just 195 yards against the lowly Jaguars, Schaub routinely challenged downfield, completing six throws of 18 yards or longer. Two of Schaub's four touchdowns came from at least 50 yards out. Schaub was having so much success deep the Broncos benched veteran corner Tracy Porter in the first half. Schaub also took a number of thundering hits, leaving the game for one play in the third quarter following a helmet-to-helmet smash from Joe Mays. He went for elbow X-rays after the game, but appeared no worse for the wear down the stretch. The "real" Schaub lies somewhere in between his Week 2 and 3 performances, but it's clear he'll remain a perfectly fine fill-in option in two-QB leagues.
