Matt Schaub believes WR Andre Holmes is "a guy that can stretch the field for us." Holmes, 26, is someone to monitor. He stands 6-foot-4, 210 with 4.45-4.51 speed and averaged 17.2 yards on 25 receptions last season. "He's a long strider, a big guy who can stretch the field vertically and go up and get the football," described Schaub. With James Jones nursing injuries, Holmes ran with Oakland's first-team offense during OTAs, lining up across from Rod Streater.

This is it. Andre Holmes must break out this year or he never will. I have both Streater and Holmes so this scenario would work for me. Granted, I'm starting Dez & Torrey Smith but, it would certainly be nice to have a couple of Raiders as back up. Maybe I can get a WR3 flex play outta one of them. It is my opinion that Schaub is good enough to help at least one of these guys to be fantasy relevant.

Go Ravens!

thanks for your insight on the situation as always mr. roads. your personal interests in these matters in regards to your respective fantasy team(s) makes for a compelling read!

That means he will have little fantasy value with Schaub as the QB!

Metaworld Thu 6/26/14 9:33 PM

While he is a crappy real world qb Schaub will keep receivers fantasy relevant...andre johnson and Owen daniels, just sayin.

Shaub also had an excellent line, atop 3 run game, and a stout defense when he was in Houston....none of which the Raiders have.
