Matt Moore, who opened camp as the Dolphins' first-team quarterback, took issue with offseason reports that David Garrard was beating him out. Garrard was pumped up relentlessly in the spring by the South Florida media, but Moore got the nod on the first day of camp. "If there's already a depth chart, I don't know about it," Moore said. "It makes you wonder why or where these people are getting their information from." Moore has never been a great practice player, but he should look better than Garrard in preseason games.
