Matt Hasselbeck confirmed Thursday he's working on a restructured contract with the Titans, and admitted his release is a possibility. "Well, yeah, if we can't come to an agreement, I guess that's what they'd have to do," Hasselbeck said. "Again, I'm really hopeful (I stay), but I understand that some things are more out of your control." Hasselbeck is scheduled to make $5.5 million, and count $7.5 million against the cap. Despite the Titans' need for a viable backup to Jake Locker, Hasselbeck's salary is prohibitive for a player who appeared near the end last season.
