Mathews (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's estimated practice report, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. At this stage, Mathews looks pretty iffy for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, and if he is forced to miss Week 17's contest, the Chargers would once again roll with a backfield committee led by Branden Oliver, along with Donald Brown and Ronnie Brown to a lesser extent.
