Mark Sanchez believes the Jets deserve a large part of the blame for the Tim Tebow story becoming larger than life last season. He's right, of course. "(ESPN) didn't necessarily sneak in overnight at our training camp," Sanchez said on FOX Sports Radio. "They had to get permission to go. You can avoid that stuff on your own if you like, in my opinion, but he's a popular guy and people gravitate towards the guy." Sanchez went on to call Tebow a "special person," and insist he's on the same page with GM John Idzik and coach Rex Ryan. Sanchez's correct point notwithstanding, it's clear the sides are stuck in an irreconciliable marriage. Idzik would be worthy of the history books if he could unload Sanchez in the Darrelle Revis deal.
