Long (ankle) returned to practice this week but is still a long shot to play against Denver, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Long would be a boost to a defense that has been improving over the last four weeks. He has had 10-plus sacks the last two years and should be back in the lineup Nov. 23 against San Diego.
