Locker (right thumb) returned to practice on Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports. The report notes that during the media access portion of Wednesday's practice, Locker split QB reps with Charlie Whitehurst. While Locker expressed optimism with regard to his chances of playing Sunday against Washington, coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that it's too early to say whether or not Locker, who was limited at practice Wednesday, will draw Sunday's starting assignment, noting that it remains to be seen how the QB responds to the work that he was able to put in.
