Locker completed 12-of-17 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Falcons. He gained 12 yards on his only carry but did take a pair of sacks. Locker played well for a second straight week, though he was once again facing a shaky NFC South defense. Still, his preseason performance has been encouraging, and the Titans have an intriguing trio of wide receivers in Kendall Wright, Nate Washington and Justin Hunter.

Locker is a popular guy to bash, but Whisenhunt just made Philip Rivers the #4 overall fantasy QB last year. Locker is an awesome buy as a QB2, in my opinion. Lots of arm talent, can run, and has people to throw to. He could be a top-12 finisher, if Lady Luck and the injury bug both smile upon him.

I don't disagree with anything but when you said "Lady Luck" I thought of Andrew Luck instead for some reason.

haha nice. Maybe Locker is Luck's Lady. They see each other twice a year, and Nashville is a romantic city...

And this is how rumors get started.

Agreed. He has a QB guru for a coach and great weapons on offense. A great line as well. Also, a porous defense in Tennessee equals garbage time fantasy points for Locker. If he stays healthy, I think he's a lock to be a top 16 QB in terms of fantasy scoring with potential for low end QB1 status. But I've always believed in his game...perhaps I'm a bit bias.

Yes, I'm a little subjective here as well. However, I was more than on my way to writing him off to start 2013, and then he came out and promptly tallied nine TDs (eight passing) in his first five games, with only one turnover. Not a ratio he can be expected to approach reproducing over 16 games (or 12, or however many he can keep himself upright for), but the kid has a little Romo to his game in terms of hitting big plays.

Speaking of his durability issues, you may want to keep an eye on Mettenberger, if (when) Locker goes down again Zach has the talent to straight-up take the starting job away from him. I've got him in all my Dynasty and Keeper Leagues.
