Liuget and the Chargers came to terms on a five-year contract extension Tuesday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports. With more than $50 million up for grabs through the 2020 season, Liuget has upheld his end of the bargain following his selection in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. A handful versus both the run and pass, the 25-year-old defensive end has yet to garner a Pro Bowl berth, despite racking up 149 tackles (112 solo), 17 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one defensive touchdown while starting every game the past three seasons.
