Nelson signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Eagles on Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

The 28-year-old was cut by the Steelers in late March, and he was able to latch on with a new team right before the start of training camp. Nelson started all 15 games for Pittsburgh last season and should compete for a starting spot with Avonte Maddox opposite top cornerback Darius Slay in Philadelphia.
