Coach Sean McDermott acknowledged at the NFL Scouting Combine that he thinks "it's unrealistic to think" that the Bills will be able to retain Trubisky, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports.

After four years with the Bears, who took Trubisky second overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, the QB signed a one-year deal last March with the Bills to back up Josh Allen. Following a 2021 campaign in which he attempted just eight regular-season passes, it seems likely that Trubisky -- who turns 28 in August -- will now look to join a team that will give him the opportunity to compete for a starting job this coming season.
