Lattimore (knee) is expected to return to practice following the 49ers' Week 8 bye, the Sacramento Bee reports. The coaching staff reportedly believes Lattimore is ready to test his surgically-repaired knee, but the team will wait to return him to practice until after the bye, as to delay the 21-day window for deciding whether or not to activate him from the non-football injury list. If all goes well upon his return to practice, Lattimore could join the active roster by mid-November, but it's hard to imagine him leaping Frank Gore or Carlos Hyde on the depth chart this season.
