Langford has entered the fourth week of what was expected to be a 4-to-6 week absence due to a serious ankle sprain. If the lower bound is the more accurate timetable, he should begin to ramp up his practice reps in earnest next week. In the meantime, though, Jordan Howard should carry the load out of the Bears' backfield, while Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) serves in a complementary role, if active.
