Moseley tore his pec during a practice in early August and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period. Under a new NFL rule, the Lions were able to exclude him from the 53-man roster on cut-down day and place him on IR while designating him to return. As such, Moseley will be eligible to return after missing Detroit's first four games of the season.
