Kyle Rudolph caught three balls for 36 yards in the Vikings' third preseason game Friday night. Rudolph has been highly efficient through three August games, securing six of his seven targets for 65 yards. Rudolph is a rare second-year tight end who's locked in as an every-down player in an offense desperately in need of a No. 2 pass catcher beyond Percy Harvin. It's a nice recipe for fantasy success.

Thinking of starting him at TE1

Depending on what other TE you currently have on your roster that might actually be a good move. If you got stuck with one of the later TE picks then it would be worth trying him out since its looking like he might get some decent action.

Got witten also

Well then you might be forced to start Rudolph anyway since Witten Is injured...I had Witten last year, I kept waiting each week for him to do something amazing but he didn't really produce any spectacular numbers. I would recommend going with Rudolph and seeing what he does for you, and you can bench Witten and see how he does with his injury if they do put him in, but depending on Rudolph's by week you might not want to wait too long before you consider trading Witten for a different TE...keep your eye's pealed, you might get lucky and sweep up a good TE.
