Kyle Orton completed 30-of-46 passes for 358 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in Sunday night's Week 17 loss to the Eagles. Making his first start since 2011, Orton was able to manage his way through the first three quarters before throwing a game-ending pick on the Cowboys' final drive. He held the Cowboys' offense back all night, struggling to get anything going with Dez Bryant and relying on check downs to Jason Witten. Orton was able to hit Bryant on a post route against single-coverage for a 32-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-nine play with 3:57 remaining, but failed to convert on a two-point conversion that would have tied the game. With the loss, the Cowboys were eliminated from playoff contention and will finish second in the NFC East. Orton is under contract for the next three seasons and should return as Tony Romo's backup in 2014.
